Flutist and conductor Eyal Ein-Habar was born in Israel and was principal flute of the Israel Philharmonic from 1997 to 2014. After his tenure with the orchestra, he became the head of the orchestral training program at the "Buchmann-Mehta School of Music" (Israel) and musical director of the "Classica Orchestra Rehovot" and the Israel Flute Choir. Eyal founded both the Israel Flute choir and the Israel Woodwind Quintet. He is a dedicated teacher and was recently appointed flute professor at the Münster University.
Eyal won the 1992 Scheveningen International Flute Competition (The Netherlands), the 1996 François Shapira Competition (Israel), and was a laureate at the 1993 Kobe International Flute Competition (Japan). He was a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships (1983-1996). He performs frequently as a soloist and conductor with the major Israeli orchestras as well as orchestras around the world. He gives international recitals and masterclasses and plays concerts in chamber music festivals and on tour in Israel, Europe, South and North America. He was recently a jury member at the 75th Concours de Genève.

Eyal was the soloist of the Israel Philharmonic USA tour in 2008, playing Bernstei's "Halil" at Carnegie Hall, as well as in New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Diego and Los Angeles, receiving high praise from the reviews. He founded the Israeli woodwind quintet and flute choir. He has recorded for labels such as: Centaur Records (USA), Meridian (England), IMI (Israel) and others. His CD “It Takes Two to Trio” (Centaur Records), with trios for flute, oboe and keyboard, was highly acclaimed by the American Record Guide and Pan Magazine, of the British Flute Association.
