Studying music often means committing to a specific musical style or branch. But being a creative musician does not necessarily imply acting within only one style. And as many students relate to several other musical styles than their study-career may suggest, I would like to take a look at examples where the „borders" between classical contemporary music and popular music have been ignored and discuss, how thinking „out of the box“ can activate our creativity in making music.
